Summer Program
Variety School of Hawaii's Summer Enrichment Program is a six-week program that provides services to children with and without learning differences, including high functioning autism, and challenges them in an environment that is intimate and nurturing.
The program is broken into two parts, the Morning Academic Enrichment Program and the Afternoon Enrichment program. Both provide opportunities for experiential learning through participation and exploration.
Our Morning Academic Enrichment Program begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 12:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. The program includes an emphasis on Language Arts and hands-on instruction in Mathematics. Team Building and Social Skills are also integrated into the morning academics experiences.
The Afternoon Enrichment Program begins at 12:15 p.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This program extends the morning academic enrichment with hands-on activities and experiences. Children will explore their environment through exciting community field trips and activities.
Enrollment is handled on an individual basis. Confirmation of enrollment will be mailed once application and payment are received. For children not currently enrolled at Variety School, a mandatory tour and observation of the child are necessary to ensure an appropriate "fit" between program and child.
