After School Program:
The After School Program is available to children with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and/or high functioning autism, ages 5 through 13. The program is specially designed to supplement our school's academic school programs. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Services. Our hours of operation are from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The goal of our After School program is to stimulate and develop motor, cognitive, and social growth. It offers an opportunity for students to receive some assistance with their homework in a structured intimate setting appropriate for studying. Various enrichment activities such as art, cooking, dance, and team building games are planned daily.
Enrollment is handled on an individual basis. Confirmation of enrollment via phone or in writing will be completed once application and payment are received. For children not currently enrolled at Variety School, a mandatory tour and observation of the child is necessary to ensure an appropriate "fit" between program and child.
